DYU D3S electric folding bike with 14 inch wheels and up to 50 km range
The DYU D3S electric folding bike is a compact mini e-bike with 14 inch wheels, a 250W motor and a 36V 10Ah battery for a range of up to 50 km with pedal assist. Assistance cuts out at 25 km/h and the bike has no throttle, only a walk assist up to 6 km/h. It weighs 19 kg, carries up to 120 kg and suits riders of roughly 160 to 195 cm.
Ride to the station, fold it up and take it on the train, or store it in a campervan, a car boot or a small flat. Folded, the D3S is just 20 cm wide. With front and rear disc brakes, lights and IP54 splash protection, it's ready for the daily commute.

E-bike rules in the Netherlands
In the Netherlands, an electric bike counts as a regular bicycle (pedelec) if the motor has a maximum rated power of 250W and only assists while you pedal, up to 25 km/h. A throttle or a purely electric riding mode that works above 6 km/h falls outside those rules: the bike is then classed as a moped requiring a registration plate, insurance and a driving licence. Tuning is not permitted. DYU supplies the D3S without a throttle and with assistance up to 25 km/h, so it complies with these rules.
