Description
Oakley Flight Deck XM Factory Pilot ski goggles for low visibility
The Oakley Flight Deck XM Factory Pilot ski goggles in Factory Pilot White with a Prizm Snow Hi Pink lens are made for low-light days. According to Oakley, the pink lens lets through 46% of the light, making it the lightest lens of the Flight Deck variants in our shop. That way you can still read the terrain of the slope in snowfall, fog, heavy cloud or among the trees.
Factory Pilot White is a white version from Oakley's Factory Pilot line and stands out immediately against a dark helmet or jacket. Oakley now calls the Flight Deck XM the Flight Deck M: the medium size of the Flight Deck, with a wide fit. This size suits narrower to average faces and compact helmets well. Many skiers use a Hi Pink lens as a second pair alongside a dark lens for sunshine, or as their main goggles in areas where it is often cloudy.

Fit and size
Oakley now calls the Flight Deck XM the Flight Deck M. It is the same goggle in a smaller size than the Flight Deck L: medium, with a wide fit. Choose the XM if you have a narrower to average face, or if the L presses against your cheekbones or nose. If your helmet does not suit large goggles, the XM is often the better choice. If in doubt, email us your helmet brand and size.

Frequently asked questions
When do you use a Prizm Snow Hi Pink lens?
According to Oakley, Hi Pink lets through 46% of the light and is intended for snow and overcast conditions. It is a lens for poor visibility: snowfall, fog, flat light and skiing among the trees. On a clear blue day it is too light; for that, choose a dark lens such as Prizm Snow Black Iridium or Sapphire Iridium.
Is the Flight Deck XM the same as the Flight Deck M?
Yes. Oakley has renamed the Flight Deck XM to Flight Deck M. The model number OO7064 has stayed the same. It is the medium size of the Flight Deck; the large size is called Flight Deck L (OO7050). Replacement lenses for the M therefore also fit the XM.
Is the Flight Deck XM suitable for a small face?
The XM is smaller than the Flight Deck L and therefore fits narrower to average faces better, including many women and teenagers with an adult head size. Oakley describes the fit as medium with a wide fit. It is usually too big for young children, who need dedicated youth goggles.
Does the Flight Deck XM fit over my glasses?
Oakley has added cut-outs at the temples so the Flight Deck XM fits over most glasses. Because the XM is smaller than the L, there is less room for a large frame. If you wear wide glasses, consider the L size or try the XM on at home; you have a 14-day cooling-off period.
