The Oakley Rio 2.0 Insulated DWR jacket for women is an insulated winter jacket with a water-repellent DWR finish (Durable Water Repellent). The insulation keeps you warm on cold days and the DWR layer makes snow and raindrops bead off the outer fabric instead of soaking in. This version comes in the colour Blue Forest and is available from us in sizes XS, S and L.
The Rio 2.0 is part of Oakley's Rio line, which also includes matching Rio 2.0 DWR trousers. Wear this women's jacket on a crisp day of winter sports, on a winter walk or simply around town when it's cold and wet. Add a thermal top or fleece underneath to layer up and control how warm you are.

Fit and size
The Rio 2.0 is a women's jacket in Oakley women's sizing. We have it in stock in this colour in XS, S and L; we don't currently carry other sizes. Choose your usual jacket size. If you wear a thick midlayer underneath for skiing or hiking and you're between two sizes, go for the larger one. What does DWR mean on the Oakley Rio 2.0 jacket?
DWR stands for Durable Water Repellent: a water-repellent treatment on the outer fabric. Rain and snow form droplets that roll off the jacket, so the fabric doesn't get wet quickly. It is a water-repellent layer; Oakley does not state a hydrostatic head rating for this jacket. Over time you can refresh the effect with a DWR spray.

Can I use this jacket for winter sports?
The Rio 2.0 is insulated and water-repellent and belongs to the Rio line, for which Oakley also makes DWR trousers for the snow. It's perfectly fine for a day on the slopes with layers underneath. Oakley does not state a hydrostatic head or breathability rating, so for extremely wet or stormy weather a technical ski jacket with a membrane is more suitable.
