The ZenXstore scarifying rake is a hand rake for removing moss, thatch and dead grass from your lawn and preparing the soil for new grass seed. The rake comes with a 120 cm wooden handle, so you can get started straight away. Ideal for maintaining small and medium-sized lawns in spring and autumn.
After winter, there is often a layer of moss and dead grass in the lawn. This means grass roots get less air and water, and new grass seed struggles to establish. With this scarifying rake, you pull that layer out by hand, without an electric scarifier. Then overseed bare patches straight away for a fuller, greener lawn.

How to use the scarifying rake
Mow the grass short first. Then rake the lawn with firm, straight strokes, first lengthways and then crossways, so the moss and thatch come loose. Rake the loosened material together and remove it. Overseed bare patches, press the seed down lightly and keep the soil moist for the first few weeks.
